Surry Nuclear Power Station in Surry VA. has 3 emergency diesel
generators to ensure they can supply power at all times. The
Nuclear Regulatory Commission has mandated that these generators must be
tested periodically to ensure that they are within specifications and
will perform as designed if needed. Prior to the Induspec78 this
was done by connecting meters, oscilloscopes, and other various pieces
of test equipment to individual components in the control cabinet. The Induspec78 is the ultimate in diesel testing. Connect it to the components in the control cabinet and run the test routine. The system collects 1000 samples per second and records to the hard drive. The data can be imported into a template that depicts a perfect run. Any deviation from a perfect test is quickly detected and the problem can be quickly corrected. Induspec Data Acquisition Systems were manufactured exclusively for Surry Nuclear Power Station. | Our CaliClamp systems verify strain gauge clamps used in Motor Operated Valve testing are within specification. CaliClamp3 is our latest revision. Testing of the strain gauge clamps is normally performed between outages by cycling the clamp 30 times and recording the results to a database. The results are inserted into a formula provided by the clamp manufacturer to determine if it is still within tolerance. After testing, a report is generated for each clamp. The system can be provided as turn key or as an update to existing stem test stand. This system is the best way to ensure a bad clamp is never used. | ||||||||||

| The Industrial Light Link is a digital communications system that can transmit and receive voice between multiple headsets over a single common wire and earth ground. The input/output line is isolated from the equipment. The headsets feature noise cancellation microphones and soft ear pads that eliminated background noise and are comfortable to be worn all day. They can be used in voice activation or Push to talk mode. An unlimited number of sets can be connected to the same line and used to talk over different channels. These are used at Surry power station to speed up test times and reduce fatigue for over 8 years now. | ||||||||||
