HAMPTON, VA – Industrial Automation Specialists today announced a significant cost reduction on one of the company’s more popular custom machines. The Glu-Burt assembles hand held “stick fans” popular with promotional product companies, event organizers and convention facilities.
“We developed the Glu-Burt to automate fan assembly, removing much of the manual labor involved,” said project manager Dave Wallace. “Our solution assembles up to 1,400 fans per hour, applying the adhesive and affixing the fan to the wooden stick handle,” he added.

Glu-Burt is popular with companies seeking to expand their product offerings, and startups entering the market. “Our machine is unique in that it combines several steps into one machine process, which saves time and reduces error and damage,” said Wallace. “The Glu-Burt also allows for a variety of fan shapes, from faces to hearts and just about anything you can imagine.”
Wallace said the Glu-Burt offered through an ebay auction is a demonstration model used to showcase the machine and it’s capabilities. “We now demonstrate the machine most frequently via videos, so we can offer this example at a significant discount,” he added. In keeping with the company’s technology focus, they are listing the machine on ebay, and have videos on YouTube that highlight its performance.
